SALES FLOOR
VOLUNTEER INFO

Thanks for volunteering with us on the Sales Floor!
When one of our larger items sells, you’ll need to fill out a Sold Item Tag. This helps us set the item aside in the sold hallway so the shopper can finish browsing without carrying a big (and sometimes awkward!) item around. The tag also helps our Check-Out team match the item to the right consignor and make sure they receive credit for the sale.
Please take a few minutes to review the video and step-by-step guide below.

✍️ Step 1: Locate Tag
-
The tiny number under the barcode is the number you will be needing.
-
This tag will STAY on the item - you do NOT need to remove it.

📝 Step 2: Fill Out The Sold item sheet
-
Locate the number under the barcode.
-
Write barcode number clearly and legibly in the field that says Sold Item #1, (etc). Include all dashes (-) and periods (.)
-
Write the Item Description
-
Be specific so we can identify your item.
Example:-
✅ “Paw Patrol Chair”
-
Not: ❌ “chair”
-
-
-
Include brand, color, size, or details that help.
-
Check 'IN' if the item is located inside and check 'OUT' if the item is located outside.
-
Fill in the seller's name AND phone number
-
Double-check that all sections of the Sold Item Tag are filled out and easy to read. Then, hand the tag to the shopper and let them know to give it to the cashier at check-out in order to claim their large item.
-
Let the shopper know if they find additional large items, we can simply add them to this same tag to make things easy when they check out.
-

🧾 Step 3: Complete & Place sold sticker
-
Write the buyer's name (first & last) and their cell number.
-
Place this sticker on the sold item, but do NOT cover the existing tag.
-
Please make sure you are not placing the sold tag on an area of the item that could cause damage (example - on the surface of a train table that could cause the paint to peel away when removed.)
-
-
Give the item to a runner or place item in sold hallway (by last name).

🚨IMPORTANT REMINDERS...
-
Don’t skip any fields — incomplete tags may delay our check-out team.
-
Write neatly — if we can’t read it, we can’t guarantee accuracy.
-
Don't forget those dots and dashes — they are crucial!
-
The numbers on the tag are pretty small. Bring reading glasses if you need them.
-
Ask an executive member if you need help.
