Tagging Instructions
- Consigning is easy! You earn 2/3 of the selling price and Covenant children's ministries will keep 1/3. Plus, no fees at all - not even for a stamp!
- You set your own price. We suggest that you price items at 1/4 of the original price with brand name items (Gap, Gymboree) in excellent condition selling for closer to 1/3 original price.
- No items below $2 - Round all prices off to nearest half-dollar.
- Only Spring and summer kids clothing at March sale, infants through size 16
- Only Autumn and winter kids clothing at August sale, infants through size 16
- All items must be in very good condition, clean, and with all parts working and present. Furniture must be set up at the sale and car seats must be fewer than 5 years old and accident-free.
- Use an entire 3X5" index card, hanging vertically, and safety pinned (horizontally) at the top.
- Please leave at least 1" of blank space between safety pin and all consignor numbers/writing, to prevent your consignor # being left on the sold and detagged item.
- Use safety pins; no straight pins, please.
- Pin tags to clothes on front side of garments with tag on the right side when facing the front of the item.
- Place all hanging items on a hanger, with hook facing left like a question mark (?).
- Safety pin skirts, pants or loose items to top of hanger near hook to prevent sliding and twisting of garments.
- Please do not hang items such as bibs, hair ribbons, socks and mittens on hangers. Instead, they should be placed in Ziploc® bags with the tag taped, only on 3 sides, to the front of the bag.
- Place shoes in a Ziploc® bag. Tape the tag to the outside of the bag. Shoes must be in excellent condition to be accepted.
- Tape tags on toys, equipment, books, and videos. Include fresh batteries in any electronic item you are selling.
- Only G and PG-rated movies allowed. No PG-13 or R movies will be accepted.
- Please sort all items by sex and size before drop off.
- Don't forget! Include your consignor number!
- Use numerical sizing rather than small, medium, large. Include Boy or Girl and item descriptions.
- If you do not wish to sell an item at the half-price discount, circle its price in ink.
- If you wish to donate any unsold items to charity, please write a large "C" in red ink on the bottom right corner of the tag.
- Consignors are limited to 300 items or fewer.
Items not tagged properly will be refused.
Covenant's Kids Consignment Sale is not responsible for broken, lost or stolen items, switched tags or separated items.
